Basketball Game Preview: Lake Minneola Hawks vs. Wildwood Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Lake Minneola Hawks will get right back to it and host the Wildwood Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lake Minneola has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Wildwood will arrive with 12 straight victories.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Lake Minneola challenged South Lake on Tuesday. Lake Minneola lost to South Lake on the road by a 48-32 margin.

Meanwhile, Wildwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against The Villages Charter last Sunday, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win.

Wildwood's win came from a few key players Lake Minneola will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Adejah Corbin, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 20 points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinidy Harris, who posted 15 points.

Wildwood's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Lake Minneola, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
