Volleyball Game Preview: St. John-Vianney Lancers vs. Long Branch Green Wave

The St. John-Vianney Lancers will head out to challenge the Long Branch Green Wave at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, St. John-Vianney was able to grind out a solid win over Howell, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Meanwhile, Long Branch beat Asbury Park 2-0 on Wednesday.

Long Branch is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for St. John-Vianney, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

St. John-Vianney beat Long Branch 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
