Recap: Carlin Railroaders vs. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent
The Carlin Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the road by a decisive 39-20 margin. Carlin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Non Varsity Tournament Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Carlin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bretta Melendez, who scored six points along with six rebounds. Melendez set a new season high mark in rebounds with six. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Clancy, who scored four points.
Carlin now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 18-45.
Carlin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Truckee at 2:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they will square off against Normangee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
