Basketball Recap: Lyons Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lyons proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 26) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers, sneaking past 69-67. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyons will host East Rochester at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in East Rochester's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jasper-Troupsburg at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th.
