Baseball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Miami Vandals

Globe hasn't had much luck against Miami recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Globe will face off against Miami at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Globe easily dispatched Coolidge on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Globe fell just short of Florence by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Braxton Tober made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Braden Wager was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Miami was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to St. John Paul II Catholic, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Miami saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Gore, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Globe's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Miami, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Globe couldn't quite get it done against Miami in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can Globe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
