Basketball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Plainfield North Tigers and fell 68-20. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Tigers are ranked 81st).

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Plainfield North, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Plainfield Central will be playing at home against Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield Central is facing Plainfield East at the right time seeing as Plainfield East is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Plainfield North, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Plainfield North Tigers face off against the Oswego Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Oswego likes a good challenge.
