Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Andrada Polytechnic

If Andrada Polytechnic was feeling good off their 3-0 takedown of Sabino two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mavericks lost 3-0 to the Empire Ravens on Monday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mavericks were not able to get on the board.

Andrada Polytechnic was held off the set scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-18.

Andrada Polytechnic now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Empire, they have now won six of their last seven games on the road. That leaves them at an 8-9 record this season.

Andrada Polytechnic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Palo Verde on the 22nd. As for Empire, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Thatcher at 6:00 p.m.
