Basketball Recap: Carson Baxley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central over West Florida Baptist Academy

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 48-38 to the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors. The matchup marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carson Baxley, who posted 14 points. Baxley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Ellison, who put up 12 points.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-33 loss against T.R. Miller on the 19th. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-22 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 19th.
