Baseball Game Preview: Killian Cougars vs. St. Brendan Sabres

For the second straight game, Killian will face off against St. Brendan. The Cougars will welcome the Sabres at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Killian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out St. Brendan 3-2.

Killian got a great performance from Sebastian Perez as he struck out six batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave Perez a new career-high.

At the plate, Killian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Naranjo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Naranjo has posted since back in March.

St. Brendan's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-13. As for Killian, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
