Basketball Game Preview: Southern Trojans vs. Washington County Commanders

The Southern Trojans will face off against the Washington County Commanders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southern is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 88-58, which was the final score in Southern's tilt against Fairdale on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Washington County came up short against Bethlehem on Tuesday and fell 57-50. The Commanders haven't had much luck with the Eagles/Banshees recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
