Basketball Game Preview: Coventry Oakers vs. Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers

The Coventry Oakers will take on the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Coventry has five straight victories, Juanita Sanchez Complex has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Coventry didn't have too much trouble with North Smithfield as they won 67-49.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coventry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Broady, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. The match was Broady's third in a row with at least ten points. Brayden Martin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten assists.

Coventry was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Juanita Sanchez Complex might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting South Kingstown an easy 68-44 win.

Coventry's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
