Volleyball Recap: Estacado Comes Up Short

Estacado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Frenship Memorial Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-11.

Jada Phea paced Estacado's offense, picking up five kills. Phea got some help from London Burrell and her 13 assists. Laterrian Hastings controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Estacado's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Frenship Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Estacado will challenge rival Levelland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Frenship Memorial is set to square off against their familiar foe Lake View at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
