Baseball Game Preview: West Perry Mustangs vs. Boiling Springs Bubblers

The West Perry Mustangs will face off against the Boiling Springs Bubblers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Perry's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Boiling Springs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, West Perry needed a bit of extra time to put away James Buchanan. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Rockets. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Boiling Springs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Landon McMahon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Boiling Springs' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for West Perry, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

West Perry took their victory against Boiling Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-8 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bubblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
