Softball Recap: Newark Takes a Loss

Newark was the 1-0 winner over Serena when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Norsemen fell 8-4 to the Huskers on Wednesday.

Newark saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adelaide Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Newark's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-14-2. As for Serena, their record now sits at 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newark will host Parkview Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Norsemen are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Serena, they will be playing at home against Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
