Mansfield needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Giulia Leoni. The Lions blew past the Hurley Tigers 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Leoni, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Mansfield never let Hurley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-18.

Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Hurley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Mansfield is taking a road trip to face off against Bradleyville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hurley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crane at 7:00 p.m.
