Baseball Recap: Weston Comes Up Short

If Weston was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Claiborne Christian on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves lost 7-1 to the Pitkin Tigers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Weston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Henderson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Weston's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Pitkin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

While Weston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
