Game recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers High School Football Team tops West Noble

After taking the lead on a Noah Wezensky touchdown pass to Chance Young in the first quarter, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, Ind.) led 33-0 at the half.

The Knights expanded their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers scored once in the quarter on a Quinn Cook touchdown pass to Braden Thiele.

Travis Eckert was the top performer for FWBL. The junior wide receiver kicked five extra points.

The Fort Wayne school came in allowing an average of 29.2 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding West Noble (Ligonier, Ind.) right around its season average of 1.4 points scored per game.

The win was a nice bounce back for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, which lost to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger last week, 35-2. The loss comes after West Noble defeated Fremont 32-12 last week.
