Basketball Recap: Omaha Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Omaha Christian Academy lost against Boys Town back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The game between the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles and the Boys Town Cowboys didn't end well, with the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles falling 38-23. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Omaha Christian Academy lost, don't look at Emma Wheelock. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and five rebounds. Wheelock has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Levering, who had 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Starr Mills was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Omaha Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Boys Town, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Omaha Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Cedar Bluffs at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cedar Bluffs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Boys Town, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on College View Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
