Baseball Game Preview: Wenonah Dragons vs. Northside Rams

Wenonah hasn't had much luck against Northside recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wenonah Dragons will be playing at home against the Northside Rams at 5:30 p.m. Wenonah has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Wenonah is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 16-3 to Parker.

Jeramiha Irvin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Another player making a difference was Amari Matthews, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Northside came tearing into Wednesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Falcons 16-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Northside's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Wenonah, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Wenonah might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Northside in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Wenonah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
