Preview: Fairfield Indians vs. Marietta Tigers
The Fairfield Indians are on the road again on Friday and play against the Marietta Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Fairfield was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton, taking the game 48-37. The victory was just what Fairfield needed coming off of a 67-31 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Marietta put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 59-49 win over Logan. Given Marietta's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Logan is ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win got Fairfield back to even at 4-4. As for Marietta, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
