Ardrey Kell dropped their record down to 16-10 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Mecklenburg Sabres. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sabres earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Ardrey Kell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Veverka, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Jack Leach, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.

As for South Mecklenburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games.

On South Mecklenburg's side, Brayden Bartholomew looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bartholomew has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chris Short, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Devitt, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As of now, neither Ardrey Kell nor South Mecklenburg have any future games scheduled.
