Softball Recap: Simeon Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Simeon not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024 (when they won 22-5). They blew past the Morgan Park Mustangs 18-1. 18 seems to be a good number for the Wolverines as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Ariyah Black, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, nine stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amirah Manson, who went 2-for-3 with seven stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Simeon pushed their record up to 2-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Morgan Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Simeon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 victory against EPIC Academy on the 19th. As for Morgan Park, they will face off against Richards at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
