Volleyball Recap: Norton Takes a Loss

Norton was the 3-0 winner over Medway when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lancers have suffered against the Mustangs since October 20, 2021.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 26-24, 29-27, 25-23.

Catherine Reiss paced Norton's offense, picking up ten kills. Reiss got some help from Maddie Artz and her 12 assists. Reiss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Charlotte George went supernova For Medway., getting 15 digs and four aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Norton and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Medway, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Norton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bellingham on the 15th. As for Medway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Medfield on the 15th.
