Soccer Game Preview: MacArthur vs. Aldine

The MacArthur Generals will venture away from home to face off against the Aldine Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur will be strutting in after a victory while Aldine will be coming in after a defeat.

Aldine will be up against a hot MacArthur team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. MacArthur came out on top against Eisenhower by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Aldine didn't have quite enough to beat Dekaney on Wednesday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th).

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Aldine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

MacArthur was able to grind out a solid victory over Aldine in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 2-0. Will MacArthur repeat their success, or does Aldine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
