Halifax came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Susquenita Blackhawks get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Halifax's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Custer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Halifax's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Susquenita, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax will head out to challenge Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Susquenita, they will challenge Greenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
