Baseball Recap: Jennings County Takes a Loss

Jennings County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Floyd Central Highlanders, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Carter Hudson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Jennings County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Floyd Central, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jennings County will welcome Seymour at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Panthers have won ten straight at home dating back to last season, while the Owls won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Floyd Central, they will host Columbus North at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
