On Friday, Cook Inlet Academy faced Shaktoolik in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles were beaten by the Shaktoolik Wolverines 75-16. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cook Inlet Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Shaktoolik, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Cook Inlet Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on January 28th. Shaktoolik does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
