Mills and Terra Nova pushed the score to 19-3 the last time they played Terra Nova, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 4-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Nate Lafon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Lafon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Aiden Brown was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Lafon, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mills' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Terra Nova, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Mills by a score of 3-1 on Friday.
