Volleyball Recap: Mica Mountain Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mica Mountain lost against Salpointe Catholic back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-2. While the Thunderbolts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lancers 25-14 in the first set.

Mica Mountain took Salpointe Catholic into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-12, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13.

Salpointe Catholic found their leader in sophomore Reagan Burgle, who had 30 digs and two aces. Those 30 digs set a new season-high mark for Burgle.

Mica Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Salpointe Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Mica Mountain nor Salpointe Catholic have any future games scheduled.
