Basketball Game Preview: Norfolk Panthers vs. Omaha Northwest Huskies

The Norfolk Panthers will challenge the Omaha Northwest Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Omaha Northwest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Norfolk, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Norfolk duked it out withFremont on Tuesday. Norfolk came out on top against Fremont by a score of 50-41.

Atley Bauman and Bo Caskey were among the main playmakers for Norfolk as the former posted 13 points and the latter scored 13 points. The dominant performance gave Bauman a new career-high in points.

Meanwhile, Omaha Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Elkhorn South 83-36. The Huskies were down 65-33 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Omaha Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Norfolk beat Omaha Northwest 39-32 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Will Norfolk repeat their success, or does Omaha Northwest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
