Basketball Recap: Stryker Comes Up Short

Stryker lost against Wauseon back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Stryker Panthers came up short against the Wauseon Indians, falling 55-35. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Indians are ranked 142nd).

Stryker's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wauseon, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stryker has already played their next contest (against Hilltop), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wauseon will face off against Delta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Delta will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Wauseon surely won't give up without a fight.
