Football Recap: Springville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bryant + How To Watch

Springville had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it seven. They took a 44-27 bruising from the Bryant Hurricanes. On the bright side, the 27- point effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Bryant's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Bryant got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden James out in front who rushed for 287 yards and one TD while picking up 15.1 yards per carry. James showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendon Born, who rushed for 69 yards and three scores on only seven carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springville will host Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Golden Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bryant, they will take on Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
