Basketball Recap: Rosedale Christian Academy Falls to Calvert Hall in First Game of Season

Rosedale Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Calvert Hall Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 93-67. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Rosedale Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Keyon Williams, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Michael Mercer was another key player, going 8-for-12 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosedale Christian Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvert Hall, they will face off against New Hope Academy Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
