Baseball Game Preview: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Mountain House Mustangs

Sierra is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Mountain House a 12-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Sierra Timberwolves will host the Mountain House Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Neither Sierra nor Mountain House posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Thursday, Sierra didn't have quite enough to beat Patterson and fell 3-2.

Collins Schluer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Ricardo Anaya made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Cameron Diego, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Mountain House's offense. They came up short against Central Catholic on Thursday, falling 13-0.

Mountain House saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Wolfe, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Mountain House's loss dropped their record down to 4-18-1. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
