Basketball Recap: Creede Takes a Loss

Creede lost against Nucla back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Miners were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 62-24. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nucla was led to victory by Brycen Rummel and Daniel Zunich. Rummel dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds, while Zunich posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Rummel has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 25 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Holten McCluer, who put up ten points and three steals.

Creede's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Creede and Centennial will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Nucla, they will face off against Vail Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
