Baseball Recap: Barringer Drops Highest Score of Season Against West Orange

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barringer). They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the West Orange Mountaineers on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Blue Bears in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won four in a row.

Sergio Crisostomo was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Cabrera, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Barringer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Barringer picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-12. As for West Orange, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Barringer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Shabazz on the 7th. As for West Orange, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Bayonne on the 6th.
