Volleyball Recap: Pueblo South Takes Down Severance in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pueblo South walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Severance Silver Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Brody Dunlap paced Pueblo South's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dunlap got some help from Eryc Heredia and his 30 assists. Finally, Landen Cordova kept Pueblo South's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Pueblo South is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Severance, their loss dropped their record down to 22-8.

Pueblo South has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Regis Groff on the 10th. Severance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
