Basketball Recap: River Mill Comes Up Short on the Road Against Bethany Community + How To Watch

River Mill had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt an 82-45 defeat at the hands of the Bethany Community Wolves. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Wood, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Smith, who put up ten points.

Quentin Leach was nothing short of spectacular for Bethany Community: he earned 25 points. Ajak Ajak was another key player, putting up 13 points.

The win got Bethany Community back to even at 1-1.

River Mill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-39 defeat against Alamance Christian on the 14th. As for Bethany Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-62 loss against Graham on the 14th.
