Volleyball Recap: Rancho Cotate Takes a Loss

Rancho Cotate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Sonoma Valley Dragons, falling 3-0. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Rancho Cotate was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 25-14.

Rancho Cotate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Sonoma Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Rancho Cotate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Technology on the 4th. As for Sonoma Valley, they will take on Windsor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
