Shepherd lost against Beal City on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bluejays took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aggies. Even though they lost, the Bluejays' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.6 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Morgan Bloniarczyk and Katie Robinson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bloniarczyk went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Robinson scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those RBI were Bloniarczyk's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leela Engelhardt, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Shepherd now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Beal City, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepherd will challenge St. Louis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beal City, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cass City at 4:00 p.m.
