West Point took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Apollo, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawks on Friday, sneaking past 6-5.

Bryan Garcia looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, AMARI LUCAS was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. SERGIO BLANCO was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Tolleson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Tolleson's record is now 14-9-1. As for West Point, the victory got them back to even at 11-11-1.
