Preview: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Arbor View Aggies
Two dominant guards in Mia Ervin and Sanai Branch are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Spring Valley Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Arbor View Aggies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Spring Valley is ranked 33rd, while Arbor View is ranked 26th).
Spring Valley suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Palo Verde by a score of 54-51. Spring Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Arbor View was able to grind out a solid victory over Las Vegas on Friday, taking the game 45-36. The victory was just what Arbor View needed coming off of a 92-29 loss in their prior game.
Spring Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Spring Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Arbor View when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 55-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
