Volleyball Recap: Green Mountain Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Green Mountain kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Arvada West Wildcats. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Green Mountain couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 17-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Grace Herrig paced Green Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Herrig got some help from Neva Cook and her 33 assists. Cadyn Cavanaugh controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Arvada West has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Green Mountain will be taking part in a tournament against Thomas Jefferson at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Arvada West, they will welcome Monarch at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
