The Steele Comets are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Elyria Catholic Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Steele earned a 76-63 victory over Fairview. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Elyria Catholic duked it out with Norwayne on Friday. The Panthers secured a 53-47 W over the Bobcats.

Steele's record is now 2-0. As for Elyria Catholic, their record now sits at an identical 2-0.

Steele beat Elyria Catholic 60-52 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
