Volleyball Recap: Waverly Falls Short of Dewitt in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Waverly and DeWitt squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Waverly had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in October.

Waverly's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Deubner, who had 14 digs and three aces.

Waverly has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-31-2 record this season. As for DeWitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12-1 record this season.

Waverly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. DeWitt has already played their next contest (against Grand Ledge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
