Basketball Recap: Gordonsville Comes Up Short

Gordonsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Pickett County Bobcats, falling 78-53. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Bobcats are ranked 38th).

Gordonsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pickett County, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gordonsville has already played their next matchup (against Whitwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pickett County has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Red Boiling Springs.
