Basketball Recap: Roanoke Rapids Find Success + How To Watch

Roanoke Rapids won the last time they faced KIPP P and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 65-57 win over the Pride.

Roanoke Rapids had a senior duo take command as Bobby Hawkins Jr. shot 64% from the field to rack up 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists and Christian Price went 8-for-12 en route to 19 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Khamorae Wood, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points.

Roanoke Rapids smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as KIPP P only pulled down one.

Several Pride players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jihad Baker, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tashaun Cowan, who went 5-for-11 en route to 16 points and five assists.
