Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northern Guilford). They never let the Western Guilford Hornets get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Friday. The Nighthawks haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Dakotah Wilkins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
