Basketball Recap: Great Bridge Comes Up Short

Great Bridge lost against Cox back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Great Bridge Wildcats were dealt a 69-38 loss at the hands of the Cox Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Falcons are ranked 142nd).

Great Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Cox, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Great Bridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 77-59 victory against Deep Creek on the 11th. As for Cox, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kempsville at 7:00 p.m.
