Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pawhuska couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 52-51 to the Fairview Yellowjackets. The Huskies have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Pawhuska lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooklyn Miles, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Emillie Curry, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Pawhuska's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Fairview, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.
